When the Compassionate One’s compassion arose, Vibhīṣaṇa’s fear of death vanished. He received Laṅkā, his fear of Rāvaṇa departed, and he bore ill will toward no one. (1) The ten-headed king had cast him out like a fly from milk and kept the cream for himself; yet the Lord made that very Vibhīṣaṇa an ornament of the world, endowed with joyful, auspicious glory. (2) Brahmā, Viṣṇu, Śiva, sages, and perfected beings praised his fortune. The delighted gods sounded their drums, repeatedly showered flowers, and cried victory with rejoicing hearts. (3) The Lord removed the troubles of Kauśika, Ahalyā in stone form, and Janaka, and ended Paraśurāma’s menace. Bird, deer, forest woman, and night-ranger—he increased the fortune of each without any capital of their own. (4) Across the ages his deeds number in countless crores; nothing recounted here is a new act for him. The glory of Rāma-bhajana blossomed in Tulsī’s heart, and so Tulsī’s own affairs too were set right. (5)
