रामहि करत प्रनाम निहारिकै। उठे उमँगि आनंद-प्रेम-परिपूरन बिरद बिचारिकै॥ १ ॥ भयो बिदेह बिभीषन उत, इत प्रभु अपनपौ बिसारिकै। भलीभाँति भावते भरत-ज्यों भेंट्यौ भुजा पसारिकै॥ २ ॥ सादर सबहि मिलाइ समाजहि निपट निकट बैठारिकै। बूझत छेम-कुसल सप्रेम अपनाइ भरोसे भारिकै॥ ३ ॥ नाथ! कुसल-कल्यान-सुमंगल बिधि सुख सकल सुधारिकै। देत-लेत जे नाम रावरो, बिनय करत मुख चारिकै॥ ४ ॥ जो मूरति सपने न बिलोकत मुनि-महेस मन मारिकै। तुलसी तेहि हौं लियो अंक भरि, कहत कछू न सँवारिकै॥ ५ ॥
Seeing Vibhīṣaṇa bow to Rāma, the Lord remembered his own vow to protect the surrendered and rose with a surge of joy, filled completely with love. (1) There Vibhīṣaṇa lost awareness of his body; here the Lord forgot himself. Stretching out his arms, he embraced his beloved guest thoroughly, just as he would Bharata. (2) He respectfully introduced him to everyone in the assembly, seated him very close, lovingly made him his own, gave him complete assurance, and asked after his welfare. (3) Vibhīṣaṇa said, “Lord, Brahmā himself, with all four mouths, entreats those who give and receive your name, while bestowing welfare, blessedness, auspiciousness, and every happiness upon them. (4) The form that sages and Maheśa cannot behold even in dreams after mastering the mind has taken me fully into its embrace.” Tulsī says he is not embellishing the account at all. (5)
