बिनती सुनि प्रभु प्रमुदित भए। रीछराज, कपिराज नील-नल बोलि बालिनंदन लए॥ १ ॥ बूझिये कहा? रजाइ पाइ नय-धरम सहित ऊतर दए। बली बंधु ताको जेहि बिमोह-बस बैर-बीज बरबस बए॥ २ ॥ बाँहपगार द्वार तेरे तैं सभय न कबहुँ फिरि गए। तुलसी असरन-सरन स्वामिके बिरद बिराजत नित नए॥ ३ ॥
Hearing the plea, the Lord was deeply pleased. He summoned the king of bears, the monkey king, Nīla and Nala, and brought Aṅgada, Vāli’s son. (1) “What do you understand of this?” he asked. Receiving his command, they answered according to policy and dharma: “He is mighty and is brother to the one who, deluded, has forcibly sown seeds of enmity against you. (2) Yet, O rampart of protecting arms, no frightened being has ever come to your door and been turned back.” Tulsī says the Master’s glory as refuge of the shelterless shines ever new. (3)
