Rāghava, I dearly love your running through the forest paths, by which the earth is stamped with your grief-dispelling, red-lotus feet and their marks of goad, thunderbolt, and banner. (1) Your lovely dark limbs, brilliant yellow garment, quiver and girdle at the waist; your running beside the golden deer with bow and arrow readied in hand, while your lotus eyes glance this way and that—all delight me. (2) Upon your head shines a crown formed of clustered matted locks adorned with forest flowers and vines. Just so, lovely drops of perspiration shine upon your face, and just so your graceful brows bend. (3) Seeing you, flocks of birds and deer together with their does stop exhausted, forgetting all their wandering. As the fruit of beholding Hari they have gained stainless knowledge; now they ask for the devotion even sages long to attain. (4) For those whose minds are immersed in the savor of the Lord with attributes and form, what value has attributeless liberation? Tulsīdāsa sings his pure fame, which delights the ear and ferries one across the river of becoming. (5)
