Bharata’s way of life delights me, yet it cannot be expressed: with tear-filled eyes and faltering voice, he sings and speaks the Lord’s virtues. (1) In food, clothing, movement, and sleep he embraces a weighty discipline; day by day he sustains his vow, love, and sacred observance without ulterior aim. (2) He endures the pain of separation from Sītā, Raghunātha, and Lakṣmaṇa. Tulsī says that, renouncing both worlds, he longs only for Rāma’s feet. (3)
