लोने लाल लखन, सलोने राम, लोनी सिय, चारु चित्रकूट बैठे सुरतरु-तर हैं। गोरे-साँवरे सरीर पीत नीलनीरज-से प्रेम-रूप-सुखमाके मनसिज-सर हैं॥ १ ॥ लोने नख-सिख, निरुपम, निरखन जोग, बड़े उर कंधर बिसाल भुज बर हैं। लोने लोने लोचन, जटानिके मुकुट लोने, लोने बदननि जीते कोटि सुधाकर हैं॥ २ ॥ लोने लोने धनुष, बिसिष कर-कमलनि, लोने मुनिपट, कटि लोने सरधर हैं। प्रिया प्रिय बंधुको दिखावत बिटप, बेलि, मंजु कुंज, सिलातल, दल, फूल, फर हैं॥ ३ ॥ ऋषिनके आश्रम सराहैं, मृग-नाम कहैं, लागी मधु, सरित झरत निरझर हैं। नाचत बरहि नीके, गावत मधुप-पिक, बोलत बिहंग, नभ-जल-थल-चर हैं॥ ४ ॥ प्रभुहि बिलोकि मुनिगन पुलके कहत भूरिभाग भये सब नीच नारि-नर हैं। तुलसी सो सुख-लाहु लूटत किरात-कोल जाको सिसकत सुर बिधि-हरि-हर हैं॥ ५ ॥
Lovely is young Lakṣmaṇa, lovely is Rāma, and lovely is Sītā; At beautiful Citrakūṭa they sit beneath a wish-fulfilling tree. Their fair and dark bodies resemble yellow and blue lotuses— Lotuses of love, beauty, and delight in the lake of the Love-god. (1) Lovely from toenail to crown, peerless and worthy of contemplation, They have broad chests and shoulders and magnificent, mighty arms. Lovely are their eyes and lovely the crowns of matted hair; Their lovely faces have conquered ten million moons. (2) Lovely are the bows and arrows in their lotus hands, Lovely their ascetic garments and the lovely quivers at their waists. Rāma shows his beloved and dear brother the trees and vines, The charming bowers and stone seats, the leaves, flowers, and fruit. (3) They praise the sages’ hermitages and name the deer; Honey abounds, and rivers and waterfalls stream. Splendid peacocks dance, bees and cuckoos sing, And birds and creatures of sky, water, and earth call beautifully. (4) Seeing the Lord, the sages thrill and say, ‘How greatly fortunate all these lowly women and men have become!’ Tulsī says the Kirātas and Kols freely plunder that treasure of joy For which the gods—Brahmā, Viṣṇu, and Śiva—sigh in longing.
