Complete song 148 of 330

Many days have passed, yet no news has come Of the lovely fair and dark travelers who went away, Friend, with a tender woman beside them. (1) Though strangers, unknown and unrecognized, they seemed more our own than our own, Beloved dearer even than life itself. Brahmā fashioned them from the essences of nectar and affection; The way they delight the heart cannot be told in any manner. (2) ‘When shall we behold them again?’ the women ask, Their bodies thrilling and streams of tears flowing from their eyes. Tulsī says the village women grow weak remembering the Lord, And without effort attain perfection in true love. (3)
