Have the two heroic travelers not returned this way? Dark and fair, beautiful by nature—friend, might we behold them once again? (1) Arrows rest in their lotus hands with lovely bows; ascetic cloth and quivers shine at their waists. Their arms are long and every limb enchanting; blessed are the father and mother who gave them birth. (2) Their faces are like the clear autumn moon, matted locks crown their heads, and their eyes are lovely red lotuses. Tulsīdāsa says they shine upon the road within his mind, breaking the pride of millions of Loves. (3)
