मनोहरताके मानो ऐन। स्यामल-गौर किसोर पथिक दोउ, सुमुखि! निरखु भरि नैन॥ १ ॥ बीच बधू बिधुबदनि बिराजति, उपमा कहुँ कोऊ है न। मानहु रति ऋतुनाथ सहित मुनिबेष बनाए है मैन॥ २ ॥ किधौं सिँगार-सुखमा-सुप्रेम मिलि चले जग-चित-बित लैन। अद्भुत त्रयी किधौं पठई है बिधि मग-लोगन्हि सुख दैन॥ ३ ॥ सुनि सुचि सरल सनेह सुहावने ग्रामबधुन्हके बैन। तुलसी प्रभु तरु तर बिलँबे, किए प्रेम कनोड़े कै न?॥ ४ ॥
They seem to be the very abode of loveliness. Fair-faced friend, fill your eyes with the two youthful travelers, one dark and one fair. (1) Between them shines the moon-faced bride, for whom no comparison can be found. It is as though Love himself had assumed a sage’s garb, together with Rati and the Lord of Spring. (2) Or perhaps adornment, beauty, and pure love have joined to plunder the world’s hearts and treasure; Perhaps Brahmā has sent this wondrous triad to bring delight to the people along the road. (3) Hearing the village women’s pure, simple, lovely words of affection, Tulsī says the Lord lingered beneath tree after tree—for whom has love not placed under obligation? (4)
