The fair and dark travelers are exceedingly lovely. With them is a woman whose body lent its radiance to the red lotus and to gold. (1) They are crossing the river of adolescence, about to become the crown of youthful beauty. Friend, make your charming, tender eyes into bowls and drink the nectar of their beauty. (2) As they look, they steal the heart, without even turning the corners of their beautiful eyes. Tulsī says: is this the Lord—or the Lord’s own love—openly uttering an enchantment, without concealment or spellcraft? (3)
