सोहैं साँवरे पथिक, पाछे ललना लोनी। दामिनि-बरन गोरी, लखि सखि तृन तोरी, बीती हैं बय किसोरी, जोबन होनी॥ १ ॥ नीके कै निकाई देखि, जनम सफल लेखि, हम-सी भूरि-भागिनि नभ न छोनी। तुलसी-स्वामी-स्वामिनि जोहैं मोही हैं भामिनि, सोभा-सुधा पिए करि अँखिया दोनी॥ २ ॥
The dark traveler shines, and behind him comes the lovely woman. Fair as lightning—look, friend, she breaks a blade of grass in wonder; Her girlhood has passed, and youth is about to bloom. (1) Beholding this perfection of beauty, we count our birth fulfilled; None in heaven or on earth is more greatly blessed than we. Tulsī says the women gaze, enchanted, upon the Lord and Lady, Making both eyes into bowls from which they drink the nectar of beauty. (2)
