Friend, the little bride has a face like the clear autumn moon. No woman so lovely has ever been, is now, or ever will be; It is as though Brahmā fashioned her from the beauty left over after creating Rati. (1) She shines surpassingly between the dark and fair travelers, As though she had plundered the beauty of all three worlds. Tulsī says that, seeing Sītā, the women cry out, overcome by love: ‘Give the children of your eyes a draught of nectar!’ (2)
