Look, friend—some supremely beautiful travelers are passing. The king's sons walk the earth on tender feet the color of red lotuses. Beholding those treasures of beauty, I am enchanted. (1) One is dark as flawless emerald, an abode of character and loveliness; the other's fair body is radiant, lovely-faced friend. Between the pair is a tender, exceedingly beautiful woman. She shines like Indirā between the moon and Hari. (2) Excellent bows and arrows are in their hands, and lovely quivers at their waists. They are steadfast, givers of joy to the gods, and destroyers of the earth's foes. Their eyes are wide as lotus petals, their faces bear the beauty of many Loves, And their skillful, charming glances steal hearts away. (3) When their lovely words entered the ears, Rāma, the abode of compassion, Looked toward them with still greater affection. Tulsī the servant says the discipline of love made every body be forgotten; At that moment no one knew even themselves, or who anyone was. (4)
