The prince is dark, dear friend, and every limb is beautiful. Beholding the splendor in every pore, friend, cast the warding offering over him— Millions of the Sun's sons, autumn moons, and Loves. (1) The bow shines at his left side, and a lovely mass of matted hair crowns his head. A pure arrow is in his hand; hermit's cloth and a quiver are fastened at his waist. His chest, arms, and eyes are broad, while none can attain the beauty of his face. Seeking a likeness for him in the world, even the course of the goddess Speech's intellect is broken. (2) Speaking thus, the girl grew absorbed; hearing her, the circle of young women stood spent. Bees, deer, and birds went along beside them, gazing as they traveled. How can I describe their condition or that nectar of love inaccessible even to the Veda? Tulsī says the garment of their minds was dyed in the lovely color of his form. (3)
