Look, look, friend—those two travelers are supremely beautiful. Emerald-dark and burnished-gold in hue, they eclipse the radiance of millions of Loves. Their lotus feet are exceedingly tender; they must be royal princes. (1) Bows and arrows are in their hands, quivers at their waists, and hermit's cloth adorns their lovely limbs. With them is that very beautiful, moon-faced bride. Clad in the excellent dress of ascetics, they have plundered all beauty. They are youthful thieves of hearts—look your fill upon them. (2) Beholding the jewel of the Solar line, the village women are immersed in love. They tell one another, ‘Friend, string these jewels upon the thread of affection.’ Tulsī says: recognize this contemplation as blessed treasure and esteem it as immense gain. Like a miser, lovingly hide it within the home of your heart. (3)
