रामहि नीके कै निरखि, सुनैनी! मनसहुँ अगम समुझि, यह अवसरु कत सकुचति, पिकबैनी॥ १ ॥ बड़े भाग मख-भूमि प्रगट भई सीय सुमंगल-एैनी। जा कारन लोचन-गोचर भइ मूरति सब सुखदैनी॥ २ ॥ कुलगुर-तियके मधुर बचन सुनि जनक-जुबति मति-पैनी। तुलसी सिथिल देह-सुधि-बुधि करि सहज सनेह-बिषैनी॥ ३ ॥

Sunayanā, look well upon Rāma! Know him to be beyond even the mind; why be shy at such a moment, cuckoo-voiced lady? (1) Through great good fortune Sītā, the dwelling of every auspicious blessing, appeared upon the sacrificial ground. Because of her, this all-delighting form has come within the range of our eyes. (2) Hearing the sweet words of the family guru's wife, Janaka's sharp-minded queen let awareness of her body grow faint, Tulsī says, steeped in the poison of spontaneous affection. (3)
