अनुकूल नृपहि सूलपानि हैं। नीलकंठ कारुन्यसिंधु हर दीनबन्धु दिनदानि हैं॥ १ ॥ जो पहिले ही पिनाक जनक कहुँ गये सौंपि जिय जानि हैं। बहुरि त्रिलोचन लोचनके फल सबहि सुलभ किये आनि हैं॥ २ ॥ सुनियत भव-भाव ते राम हैं, सिय भावती-भवानि हैं। परखत प्रीति-प्रतीति, पयज-पनु रहे काज ठटु ठानि हैं॥ ३ ॥ भये बिलोकि बिदेह नेहबस बालक बिनु पहिचानि हैं। होत हरे होने बिरवनि दल सुमति कहति अनुमानि हैं॥ ४ ॥ देखियत भूप भोर-के-से उडुगन, गरत गरीब गलानि हैं। तेज-प्रताप बढ़त कुँवरनको, जदपि सँकोची बानि हैं॥ ५ ॥ बय किसोर, बरजोर, बाहुबल-मेरु मेलि गुन तानिहैं। अवसि राम राजीव-बिलोचन संभु-सरासन भानिहैं॥ ६ ॥ देखिहैं ब्याह-उछाह नारि-नर, सकल सुमंगल-खानि हैं। भूरिभाग तुलसी तेऊ, जे सुनिहैं, गाइहैं, बखानिहैं॥ ७ ॥
Śūlapāṇi is favorable to the king. Blue-throated Hara is an ocean of compassion, friend of the lowly, and ever giving. (1) Knowing every heart, he had already entrusted Pināka to Janaka. Now the three-eyed Lord has brought these princes and made the fruit of sight available to all. (2) It is said that Rāma is dear to Bhava, and Sītā is cherished by Bhavānī. They are testing love and faith, steadfastness and vow, and have arranged the affair so that it lingers. (3) Simply seeing the boys, without recognizing them, Videha came under affection's sway. Wise understanding infers that the leaves of trees destined to flourish are green. (4) The kings look like stars at dawn, fading away in wretched shame. The princes' brilliance and majesty keep growing, though their manner is modest. (5) They are young in years yet immensely strong; setting the bow upon the Meru of their arm-strength, they will string it. Lotus-eyed Rāma will certainly break Śambhu's bow. (6) Men and women will behold the wedding celebration, a treasury of every auspicious blessing. Tulsī says greatly fortunate too are those who will hear, sing, and recount it. (7)
