आजु सकल सुकृत फलु पाइहौं। सुखकी सींव, अवधि आनंदकी अवध बिलोकि हौं पाइहौं॥ १ ॥ सुतनि सहित दसरथहि देखिहौं, प्रेम पुलकि उर लाइहौं। रामचंद्र-मुखचंद्र-सुधा-छबि नयन-चकोरनि प्याइहौं॥ २ ॥ सादर समाचार नृप बुझिहैं, हौं सब कथा सुनाइहौं। तुलसी ह्वै कृतकृत्य आश्रमहिं राम लषन लै आइहौं॥ ३ ॥
Today I shall gain the fruit of every meritorious deed. I shall behold Ayodhyā, the boundary of happiness and the utmost limit of joy. (1) I shall see Daśaratha with his sons and, thrilling with love, embrace him to my heart. I shall give the cakora birds of my eyes the nectar-beauty of Rāmacandra's moon-face to drink. (2) The king will respectfully ask my news, and I shall tell him the whole story. Tulsī says: fulfilled, I shall bring Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa back to my hermitage. (3)
