Sage, seeing your feet today, from this moment I have become first in rank among the entire company of holy people. (1) Bowing at his feet, joining his hands, and entreating him, the king says, “In your grace, tell me your purpose. Except for Rāma, nothing of mine is ungivable—body, home, and entire kingdom.” (2) “Well spoken, king. In the three worlds, who else is the crown of the meritorious? Tulsī says: the whole array of merit is known by the very fact of Rāma's birth.” (3)
