नेकु बिलोकि धौं रघुबरनि। चारु फल त्रिपुरारि तोको दिये कर नृप-घरनि॥ १ ॥ बाल भूषन बसन, तन सुंदर रुचिर रजभरनि। परसपर खेलनि अजिर, उठि चलनि, गिरि गिरि परनि॥ २ ॥ झुकनि, झाँकनि, छाँह सों किलकनि, नटनि हठि लरनि। तोतरी बोलनि, बिलोकनि, मोहनी मनहरनि॥ ३ ॥ सखि-बचन सुनि कौसिला लखि सुढर पासे ढरनि। लेति भरि भरि अंक सैंतति पैंत जनु दुहु करनि॥ ४ ॥ चरित निरखत बुध तुलसी ओट दै जलधरनि। चहत सुर सुरपति भयो सुरपति भये चहै तरनि॥ ५ ॥
Just look for a moment upon these Raghubaras, O queen: Tripurāri has placed all four lovely fruits in your hands. (1) See their childhood ornaments and clothes, their beautiful bodies charmingly covered with dust; their playing together in the courtyard, rising to walk, then falling down again and again. (2) Their bending and peeping, crowing at their shadows, dancing, and stubbornly quarreling; their lisping speech and their enchanting, mind-stealing glances. (3) Hearing her companion's words, Kausalyā sees that the dice have fallen well for her. She fills her lap with him again and again, gathering him with both hands like a gambler collecting his winnings. (4) Tulsī says: the wise gods behold this deed from behind the cover of clouds. The gods wish to become the thousand-eyed Indra, while Indra wishes to become the thousand-rayed sun. (5)
