Who can tell this child's virtues, name, and greatness? Listen, O king: his sovereignty equals that of the Lord of Lakṣmī. (1) Though all four lovely brothers are equal in understanding, age, beauty, character, and virtue, Rāma, giver of joy to devotees, is the moon for the cakora birds of all the world's eyes. (2) Granting safety to gods, humans, and sages, he will slay demons and remove the earth's heavy burden. His stainless fame, which releases the world's sins, will spread across the entire world. (3) Those who abandon deceit and worship his lotus-feet with focused minds will cross existence together with both their family lines—this is no great feat for him. (4) Hearing the guru's words, the royal couple's bodies thrill, and joy will not fit within their hearts. Tulsīdāsa says: looking at his mother's face, the Lord smiles inwardly. (5)
