अमिय-विलोकनि करि कृपा मुनिबर जब जोए। तबतें राम अरु भरत, लषन, रिपुदवन, सुमुख सखि, सकल सुवन सुख सोए॥ १ ॥ सुमित्रा लाय हिये फनि मनि ज्यों गोए। तुलसी नेवछावरि करति मातु अतिप्रेम-मगन-मन, सजल सुलोचन कोए॥ २ ॥
When the great sage shows grace and looks upon them with a nectar-filled gaze, from that moment, fair-faced friend, Rāma, Bharata, Lakṣmaṇa, Śatrughna—all the children sleep in peace. (1) Sumitrā draws them to her heart as a serpent conceals its jewel. Tulsī says: the mother, her mind immersed in deepest love, makes offerings over them, the corners of her lovely eyes wet with tears. (2)
