Pada 89

Blessings upon the singular beauty of bridegroom and bride—blessings, blessings! Blessings upon every lovely curve of their graceful forms—blessings, blessings!

Crowns upon both heads, wedding ornaments, and fine garments upon both bodies— no comparison can be found for their beauty. Blessings, blessings!

Countless lords of love grow ashamed on seeing the handsome bridegroom; Rati herself is humbled by the beauty of Janaka’s daughter. Blessings, blessings!

Those whom yogis yearn to behold sit resplendent in the pavilion; great indeed is Mithila’s fortune today. Blessings, blessings!

Like chakori birds abandoning the lovely moon for a moment to gaze at them— such are the eyes of Nehalatika. Blessings, blessings!

Pada 90

Blessings upon Raghubara’s matchless beauty—blessings, blessings! Blessings upon the wondrous splendor of Shyamasundara—blessings, blessings!

A marvelous crown shines upon his head; astonishing kohl fills his eyes; earrings, garland, and tilak adorn him today. Blessings, blessings!

His smile is lovely and captivating, and the row of his teeth steals the heart; a gem flashes upon his nose. Blessings, blessings!

A yellow garment girds his waist and his scarf flashes like lightning; tinkling ornaments resound at his feet. Blessings, blessings!

A lovely sacred thread shines upon his body; curls and brows enchant the mind; the beauty of his every limb wards all sorrow from the heart. Blessings, blessings!
