Translation of page 48

A flower-colored turban and crown shine upon his head; kohl in his eyes and betel upon his lips gleam delightfully.

Curling locks fall about his head; the heart is captivated by his yellow scarf.

A beautiful yellow garment shines at his waist; red dye adorns his feet, set with pearls.

Says Dvij Duniya Mani: whoever beholds this beauty becomes ensnared in the bonds of love.

Pada 52

The four princes are excellent bridegrooms, friend—look upon their beauty!

See the lovely jeweled crowns upon their heads, with shimmering fringes across their brows—ward off the evil eye, and look!

Their brows are broad and marked with saffron, curds, and sacred rice; their lotus eyes are darkened with kohl—taste the nectar of their glances!

Graceful cheeks and lovely earrings, and curls tossing in delight—see them and let your heart rejoice!

This beauty, friend, is the true fruit of the eyes; their name is the essence of all—chant it and test its sweetness upon your tongue.

By Sita’s grace may you receive this joy; Raghubara, support of life—keep him now within your eyes.

Circumambulation of the Pavilion — Pada 53

Receive joy, O givers of joy—the very essence of happiness has arrived; into Mithilesha’s courtyard the four Lords have come.

Lakshminidhi respectfully places a sheet around the necks of all four; as they complete the seven circuits, radiance spreads everywhere.

He whose manifestation is all this, who is the essence of every essence, has come here, humbly yielding to the power of love.
