Parichhan
Chhand
Both royal parties rejoice exceedingly, and kettledrums thunder on every side; the delighted gods shower flowers, crying, “Victory, victory to the jewel of Raghu’s line!” Knowing that the procession is arriving in this manner, countless instruments sound; the queen summons the married women to prepare every auspicious article for the parichhan.

Having arranged every auspicious thing by the prescribed rite, the noble women, walking like elephants, joyfully set out to perform the parichhan.
Moon-faced and doe-eyed, each of them possesses a beauty that dispels the proud intoxication of Rati herself. They wear splendid garments of many colors, and every body is adorned with every ornament.
Every limb is made wholly auspicious; their sweet singing shames the cuckoo. Bracelets, girdles, and anklets ring, and the elephant of Love blushes to see their gait.
