Translation of page 220

Seeing the longing of Janaka's daughter, you granted her your vision; and you brought all the citizens of Janakapura under the dominion of rasa. Keep your pledge; do not wound our hearts—O beloved!

Remain in Mithila for a few more days, Raghunandana; we entreat and honor you. Blessed is the fortune of all us women, for through you this relationship has arisen. Fulfill the obligations of that bond and let us remain intoxicated by your beauty—O beloved!

The Sarayu is forever deep and filled with dark water; better to serve in Sita's palace and dwell here amid these mansions, O Bihari. Establish your colors here and do not abandon our company—O beloved!

Pada 310

I offer myself to my sovereign lady Sita. She shines upon Raghubara's left side and has cast enchantment even upon the Lord of the three worlds. One hand rests around the Lord's neck; the other remains extended, granting fearlessness to devotees. Mother, I too am a sinner who has come for refuge; keep the star of my heart forever joined to these feet, immersed in the colors of rasa.

Pada 311

As she walks, her crooked glance enchants even Manmohan. My eyes cannot move from that beauty, and I cannot utter a word.
