May destiny make Sita's wedded fortune everlasting, O enchanter—the very sight of it cools my heart. Fulfill the longing of your own Snehalata, O enchanter: dwell forever within my eyes.

Pada 293

My eyes will not be satisfied, my darling—lift your face a little. A moon shines upon your lovely broad brow, and collyrium gives new beauty to your eyes; move aside the fringe of your wedding crown. Pomegranate-seed teeth flash within your smile, O dark and lovely enchanter—lift those captivating eyes. A diamond necklace and pearl-fringed crown, a beautiful coat and a splendid dhoti—show me your crimson feet. Beloved, your sweet smile has a beauty all its own; birth after birth my heart would gaze upon it. Latika's love can find no peace.

Pada 295
