Pada 290
As Sita is lovely, so lovely is her darling bridegroom—cast just one glance toward us. Upon our darling's head I shall place the wedding crown and set pearls all around it. I shall apply fragrant sandalwood, draw a saffron line upon his brow, and outline his eyes with collyrium. Blessed, blessed is my darling bride; blessed is the enchanter of hearts—I shall tie their knot beneath the wedding pavilion. Kissing the groom's face again and again, I shall ward all evil away—speak just one word drenched in rasa. I shall install both darlings within my heart; they are everything Sia-ali possesses.
Pada 291
My heart longs, dear friend, for our honored guest. His beautiful complexion is dark, a wondrous jeweled crown rests on his head, and crimson sandal marks his brow. His eyes are lined in black; paan has reddened his lips, and a gentle smile plays upon his dark face. He wears the wedding dhoti, and bracelets of auspiciousness adorn his wrists. Blessed, blessed is my Kishori! Beholding this loving pair, my heart itself has become their wedding chamber.
Pada 292
At the sight of you, O heart-enchanting bridegroom, my heart can no longer bear itself; it cannot forget you even for a moment. My one desire is to remain with you, O enchanter, gazing upon your joyous beauty until I am fulfilled. Seeing your form, O enchanter, all sense and reason are forgotten; Kama is forever put to shame.
