Saar (Essence)

Ananta emphasizes an inclusive openness where both the non-phenomenal witnessing and the phenomenal play of consciousness are recognized as aspects of the Self, moving beyond the false limitation of the individual ego.

In our inclusiveness of all that is, there is a simple openness to everything arising.
The recognition of the non-phenomenal is not a denial of appearance, but an expansion of our horizons.
The moment we drop belief in the individual entity, the cleanup job happens organically.

Include the phenomenal experience. Not to be in denial of the phenomenal appearance, not to, like you said, multiply and push it away. In your inclusiveness of all that is, even including that it appears, and there is a simple openness to everything that is arising. And in this openness, it is apparent that there is a phenomenal aspect, a phenomenal play. This is an aspect of myself. And there is something which is non-phenomenal, the pure witnessing, which does not have a quality, it does not have an act to do.

Ananta

So now, apparently, what we are, we are both Shiva and Parvati. The unmanifest and the manifest. And some of you might have come to this Satsang, and you might wonder, because it might feel like I'm always pointing to the non-phenomenal, or that which is the witness of even the primal phenomena. That is only because we want to be inclusive of all. What has happened is that mostly we have included only the phenomenal, and the recognition of the non-phenomenal has not been there.

Ananta

That is why it looks like when we do the inquiry, for example, if we say 'not this, not this,' it can look like one is in denial of that which is appearing. But actually, it is not. He is expanding horizons. He is asking, 'What else is there? Is there anything else besides the phenomena?' And once that recognition is there, then you see that this is undeniable. The appearance of consciousness and the entire play of consciousness is also undeniable. That's why we don't deny it.

Ananta

As I take this suit, this 'I' here, and the play of existence is all, then you see this. Even for a moment, if I embrace my thoughts or believe at all, then I find myself smelling a bit different, smelling a bit individualized, a bit not in alignment with the reality of what I find myself to be. So that's exactly what we are talking about, because the thoughts are talking about you as if you're an individual entity. And this entity is not even to be found phenomenally.

Ananta

So in our existence of phenomena, we still don't find the appearance of this individual entity, you see? So that's why, even phenomenally, it smells or tastes a bit different when we pick up this individual solution. Then what is to be done? Nothing. Because this moment, it is already done. All the cleanup job happens organically every moment. So that's it. We have finished and cleaned. Like the diaper of the baby, the diaper doesn't need to be changed; automatically, the moment changes.
