That We Should Renounce It
॥
English Translation · I.P. 848
ONCE for all I have performed a ceremony of purification, severing myself from the world; I have renounced the fault known as selfish desire. I have bathed myself in repentance; I have offered a sacrifice of my body, where the life of the one is lost in that of the many. Thither Tuka is drawn, dancing with fond devotion.
Tr. J. Nelson Fraser & K.B. Marathe (1909)
