Abhanga 807Devotion to Vitthal

Life under the Influence of Religion

English Translation · I.P. 807

IHAVE driven forth desire and grown far from passion. Now, O Hari, who can henceforth fear death ? Whether I am cast away in misery or mounted on horseback, my worldly state is your province; I am heedless of it. The sense of honour and disgrace is vanished from me; pleasure and pain are rooted out. Tuka says, I have no anxiety now.

Tr. J. Nelson Fraser & K.B. Marathe (1909)
