Abhanga 765Devotion to Vitthal

Life under the Influence of Religion

English Translation · I.P. 765

“VTOW let me contemplate this object; let it be JAI fixed before my eyes. I will clasp it to my heart and lodge it deeply therein; I will wave round it and cast away my bodily nature. Thus shall I crown the edifice; my heart is steady now. Tuka says, Let me fall at Vitthoba’s fair feet.

Tr. J. Nelson Fraser & K.B. Marathe (1909)
