Abhanga 2672Devotion to Vitthal

English Translation · I.P. 2672

"\X7E have no firm devotion to thee ; how then can we blame thee ? We ask wages for service never rendered. We have not worshipped thee, our faith is not pure ; but the blame lies on our destiny. Unnumbered worshippers there have been who renounced the world and subdued their lusts. No such vigour have I shown, yet I wish to meet thee. Of thy compassion fulfil this desire ; vindicate thy name ! Tuka says, Though a child be an idiot, yet his father and mother do carefully maintain him. Ill; Prayers
