स होवाच महाशम्भुः—यत्पृष्टवान् तस्य च नामरूपं लीलाथ धामानि तु चिन्मयानि मनोवचोगोचराण्येव न। तानि स्वयं कृपातः स्फुरणं प्रयान्ति। अतोऽरूपमनामेति प्रोक्तोऽयं राघवः स्वराट्, तनुप्रकाशभूतं च यस्य ब्रह्म सनातनम्।

sa hovāca mahāśambhuḥ—yatpṛṣṭavān tasya ca nāmarūpaṃ līlātha dhāmāni tu cinmayāni manovacogocarāṇyeva na| tāni svayaṃ kṛpātaḥ sphuraṇaṃ prayānti| ato'rūpamanāmeti prokto'yaṃ rāghavaḥ svarāṭ, tanuprakāśabhūtaṃ ca yasya brahma sanātanam|
Fresh English translation
Mahāśambhu replied: ‘The name, form, divine play, and abodes of the One about whom you have asked are made of pure consciousness and do not lie within the reach of mind or speech. They shine forth of themselves through his grace. Therefore this sovereign Rāghava is described as formless and nameless; the eternal Brahman itself is a manifestation of his body.’
