कबहिं देखाइहौ हरि चरन। समन सकल कलेस कलि-मल, सकल मंगल-करन॥ १॥ सरद-भव सुंदर तरुनतर अरुन-बारिज-बरन। लच्छि-लालित-ललित करतल छबि अनूपम धरन॥ २॥ गंग-जनक अनंग-अरि-प्रिय कपट-बटु बलि-छरन। बिप्रतिय नृग बधिकके दुख-दोस दारुन दरन॥ ३॥ सिद्ध-सुर-मुनि-बृंद-बंदित सुखद सब कहूँ सरन। सकृत उर आनत जिनहिं जन होत तारन-तरन॥ ४॥ कृपासिंधु सुजान रघुबर प्रनत-आरति-हरन। दरस-आस-पियास तुलसीदास चाहत मरन॥ ५॥

When will you show me Hari’s feet, which quiet every affliction and the stain of Kali and cause every blessing? (1) They have the color of beautiful, newly opened red lotuses born in autumn; fondled by Lakṣmī’s graceful palms, they bear incomparable splendor. (2) They are the source of the Gaṅgā, dear to the foe of Anaṅga, and, as the guileful dwarf, deceivers of Bali; they destroy the terrible sorrow and faults of the brahmin’s wife, Nṛga, and the hunter. (3) Venerated by hosts of siddhas, gods, and sages, they give happiness and refuge to all. Bringing them into the heart just once, a devotee crosses over and becomes one who carries others across. (4) Ocean of compassion, wise Raghubara, remover of the surrendered one’s distress—Tulsidas is dying of thirst born from the hope of seeing you. (5)
