Even if you forsake me, Rama, I will not forsake you. Leaving your feet, whom else could I love? (1) In this world there is no gracious lord who gives joy as you do—none within the reach of ear, eye, or mind. (2) I am an insensible embodied soul; you are the Lord, King of Raghu’s line. You are master of Maya; I am subject to Maya. (3) I am a wretched petitioner; you, my master, are a generous giver. I am a bad son; you are my beneficent father and mother. (4) If anyone anywhere were even to ask after me, Tulsi would sell himself to that one without a price. (5)
