Listen, foolish mind, to my counsel. No one turned away from Hari’s feet has found happiness—fool, understand this early. (1) Separated from the Mind and Eyes from which they arose, moon and sun meet abundant suffering: weary, they wander day and night through the sky, where mighty Rahu is their enemy. (2) Though the celestial river is exceedingly holy and her fame immense throughout the three worlds, since leaving those feet even her ceaseless flowing has still not ended. (3) Adversity does not depart without worship of the Lord of Raghu; revelation has settled this beyond doubt. Tulsidas, abandon every other hope and become Rama’s servant. (4)
