देव— दनुजसूदन दयासिंधु, दंभापहन दहन दुर्दोष, दर्पापहर्त्ता। दुष्टतादमन, दमभवन, दुःखौघहर दुर्ग दुर्वासना नाश कर्त्ता॥ १॥ भूरिभूषण, भानुमंत, भगवंत, भवभंजनाभयद, भुवनेश भारी। भावनातीत, भववंद्य, भवभक्तहित, भूमिउद्धरण, भूधरण-धारी॥ २॥ वरद, वनदाभ, वागीश, विश्वातमा, विरज, वैकुण्ठ-मन्दिर-विहारी। व्यापक व्योम, वंदारु, वामन, विभो, ब्रह्मविद, ब्रह्म, चिंतापहारी॥ ३॥ सहज सुन्दर, सुमुख, सुमन, शुभ सर्वदा, शुद्ध सर्वज्ञ, स्वच्छंदचारी। सर्वकृत, सर्वभृत, सर्वजित, सर्वहित, सत्य-संकल्प, कल्पांतकारी॥ ४॥ नित्य, निर्मोह, निर्गुण, निरंजन, निजानंद, निर्वाण, निर्वाणदाता। निर्भरानंद, निःकंप, निःसीम, निर्मुक्त, निरुपाधि, निर्मम, विधाता॥ ५॥ महामंगलमूल, मोद-महिमायतन, मुग्ध-मधु-मथन, मानद, अमानी। मदनमर्दन, मदातीत, मायारहित, मंजु मानाथ, पाथोजपानी॥ ६॥ कमल-लोचन, कलाकोश, कोदंडधर, कोशलाधीश, कल्याणराशी। यातुधान प्रचुर मत्तकरि-केसरी, भक्तमन-पुण्य-आरण्यबासी॥ ७॥ अनघ, अद्वैत, अनवद्य, अव्यक्त, अज, अमित, अविकार, आनंदसिंधो। अचल, अनिकेत, अविरल, अनामय, अनारंभ, अंभोदनादहन-बंधो॥ ८॥ दासतुलसी खेदखिन्न, आपन्न इह, शोकसंपन्न अतिशय सभीतं। प्रणतपालक राम, परम करुणाधाम, पाहि मामुर्विपति, दुर्विनीतं॥ ९॥
Lord—Destroyer of demons, ocean of compassion, remover of hypocrisy, burner of grievous faults and taker-away of pride; subduer of wickedness, dwelling of self-restraint, remover of floods of pain, fortress against and destroyer of evil tendencies. (1) Abundantly adorned, radiant, Lord, destroyer of worldly becoming and giver of fearlessness, mighty Lord of worlds; beyond conception, revered by the world, benefactor of devotees in the world, lifter of the earth, bearer of the mountain. (2) Giver of boons, cloud-hued, master of speech, Self of the universe, stainless, dwelling in Vaikuntha’s mansion; all-pervading sky, worthy of homage, Vamana, omnipresent Lord, knower of Brahman and Brahman itself, remover of anxiety. (3) Naturally beautiful, lovely-faced, gracious-minded, ever auspicious, pure, all-knowing and moving freely; doer of all, bearer of all, conqueror of all, benefactor of all, true in resolve and maker of the end of an age. (4) Eternal, free of delusion, beyond qualities, stainless, delighting in his own bliss, liberation and giver of liberation; overflowing bliss, unshaken, boundless, utterly free, without limiting condition, without possessiveness, the ordainer. (5) Root of great auspiciousness, abode of joy and glory, charming crusher of Madhu, giver of honor yet himself without pride; crusher of desire, beyond intoxication, free of illusion, lovely Lord of Lakshmi, lotus-handed. (6) Lotus-eyed, treasury of arts, bearer of Kodanda, Lord of Kosala and mass of blessedness; a lion against the many rutting elephant-like demons, dwelling in the holy forest of the devotee’s mind. (7) Sinless, nondual, faultless, unmanifest, unborn, immeasurable, changeless, ocean of bliss; unmoving, without fixed abode, unceasing, free from affliction, beginningless, friend of the clouds and fire. (8) The servant Tulsi is crushed by distress, fallen into peril here, filled with grief and exceedingly afraid. Rama, protector of those who bow, supreme abode of compassion, protect me from dire calamity, though I am ill-behaved. (9)
