जयति निर्भरानंद-संदोह कपिकेसरी, केसरी-सुवन भुवनैकभर्त्ता। दिव्यभूम्यंजना-मंजुलाकर-मणे, भक्त-संताप-चिंतापहर्त्ता॥ १॥ जयति धर्मार्थ-कामापवर्गद विभो, ब्रह्मालोकादि-वैभव-विरागी। वचन-मानस-कर्म सत्य-धर्मव्रती, जानकीनाथ-चरणानुरागी॥ २॥ जयति बिहगेश-बलबुद्धि-बेगाति-मद-मथन, मनमथ-मथन, ऊर्ध्वरेता। महानाटक-निपुन, कोटि-कविकुल-तिलक, गानगुण-गर्व-गंधर्व-जेता॥ ३॥ जयति मंदोदरी-केश-कर्षण, विद्यमान दशकंठ भट-मुकुट मानी। भूमिजा-दुःख-संजात रोषांतकृत-जातनाजंतु कृत जातुधानी॥ ४॥ जयति रामायण-श्रवण-संजात रोमांच, लोचन सजल, शिथिल वाणी। रामपदपद्म-मकरंद-मधुकर, पाहि, दास तुलसी शरण, शूलपाणी॥ ५॥
Victory to the lion of monkeys, a mass of perfect bliss, son of Kesari and sole sustainer of the worlds; jewel from the lovely mine of Anjani's divine earth, remover of devotees' anguish and anxiety. (1) Victory, mighty lord, giver of dharma, wealth, desire and liberation, detached from the splendors of Brahma's world and beyond; vowed in speech, mind and action to the dharma of truth, devoted to Janaki's Lord's feet. (2) Victory to the crusher of the lord of birds' surpassing pride in strength, intelligence and speed; destroyer of desire and celibate whose seed rises upward; expert in great drama, crest-jewel of ten million poetic lineages, conqueror of Gandharvas proud of their musical gifts. (3) Victory to him who dragged Mandodari by the hair before the living ten-headed warrior, proud of his crown; whose wrath, born from the Daughter of Earth's suffering, made Lanka a place where creatures of the demon race were put to torment. (4) Victory to him whose hair thrills on hearing the Ramayana, whose eyes fill with tears and voice grows weak; bee drinking nectar from the lotus of Rama's feet, trident-bearing Lord, protect your servant Tulsi, who has taken refuge.
