जयति जय सुरसरी जगदखिल-पावनी। विष्णु-पदकंज-मकरंद इव अंबुवर वहसि, दुख दहसि, अघवृंद-विद्राविनी॥ १॥ मिलित जलपात्र-अज युक्त-हरिचरणरज, विरज-वर-वारि त्रिपुरारि शिर-धामिनी। जह्नु-कन्या धन्य, पुण्यकृत सगर-सुत, भूधरद्रोणि-विदरणि, बहुनामिनी॥ २॥ यक्ष, गंधर्व, मुनि, किन्नरोरग, दनुज, मनुज मज्जहिं सुकृत-पुंज युत-कामिनी। स्वर्ग-सोपान, विज्ञान-ज्ञानप्रदे, मोह-मद-मदन-पाथोज-हिमयामिनी॥ ३॥ हरित गंभीर वानीर दुहुँ तीरवर, मध्य धारा विशद, विश्व अभिरामिनी। नील-पर्यंक-कृत-शयन सपेंश जनु, सहस सीसावली स्त्रोत सुर-स्वामिनी॥ ४॥ अमित-महिमा, अमितरूप, भूपावली-मुकुट-मणिवंद्य त्रैलोक पथगामिनी। देहि रघुबीर-पद-प्रीति निर्भर मातु, दासतुलसी त्रासहरणि भवभामिनी॥ ५॥
Victory, victory to the celestial river, purifier of the whole world. You carry excellent water like nectar from Vishnu's lotus feet, burn away suffering and scatter hosts of sins. (1) Joined with the Creator's water-vessel and mingled with the dust of Hari's feet, your excellent stainless water dwells upon the destroyer of Tripura's head. Blessed daughter of Jahnu, sanctifier of Sagara's sons, cleaver of mountain valleys, you bear many names. (2) Yakshas, Gandharvas, sages, Kinnaras, Nagas, demons and humans bathe in you with their beloveds, endowed with stores of merit. Stairway to heaven, giver of realization and knowledge, you are a frosty night to the lotuses of delusion, pride and desire. (3) Deep green reed-groves stand on both excellent banks and the clear central current delights the world. It is as though the lord of serpents lies upon a blue couch, the thousandfold lines of streams forming his hoods, O mistress of the gods. (4) Your greatness and forms are boundless; the jewels in the crowns of lines of kings bow to you as you travel the three worlds. Mother, remover of fear and lady of becoming, give your servant Tulsidas an overflowing love for Raghubira's feet. (5)
