English Translation

God will come to your home; do not hold any doubt about it. When one becomes a true fakir, a yogi, a great soul, then God will watch over you at every moment. Says Tuka, many speak thus, and by this truth the saints have become one with Rama.

We ask forgiveness for any inaccuracies in rendering Tukaram ji’s original Marathi.

In Plain Words

God will come to your home. Do not hold any doubt about it. When a man becomes a true fakir, a yogi, a great soul, then God will watch over him at every moment. Tuka says: many speak this way; and by this very thing the saints have become one with Rama.

What it means

Tukaram is making a flat promise and naming what it costs. God comes to your house; do not waste energy doubting it. But the coming is tied to a condition: you must become inwardly poor and surrendered, a fakir, a yogi, a great soul, someone with nothing left to guard. To such a one God gives constant, moment by moment care. Tukaram adds that this is not his private idea: many have said it, and it is by exactly this that the saints crossed over into Rama.
