English Translation
My loving whims have been indulged by the gracious Vitthal. The nurturing of many births has come to fulfillment at His feet. He has allowed me to follow Him and ask for the food of my chitta's desire. Says Tuka, He has not let me feel separate from Him for even a moment.

In Plain Words
My little whims have been indulged by my merciful Vitthal. The care carried across many births reaches its end here at His feet. He let me come close and follow Him, and ask for the food I love. Tuka says: not for a moment has He let me feel apart from Him.
What it means
Tukaram speaks as a beloved child whose every small wish the gracious Vitthal has granted. The nurturing of many lifetimes, all the seeking carried from birth to birth, finally comes to rest at the Lord's feet. God lets him draw near, walk behind Him, and even ask for the very things his heart craves. The closing line holds the whole grace: not for a single moment is he allowed to feel separate from God. This is union spoken in the tender idiom of a child indulged by a loving parent.
Ecstasy and Joy
