English Translation

Now I shall reach home in Your company, O generous Lord. I will place my head upon Your feet, and surely You will not forsake me. From here to there, no other power holds sway. Says Tuka, the wielder of the disc is the crown jewel of the strong.

We ask forgiveness for any inaccuracies in rendering Tukaram ji’s original Marathi.

In Plain Words

Now I will reach home in this giver's company. I lay my head on His feet. He will never forsake me. From here all the way to there, no other power has any say. Tuka says: the wielder of the disc is the crown jewel of the strong.

What it means

Tukaram speaks with the confidence of someone who is no longer walking alone: with God beside him, arriving home is certain. The surrender is bodily, his head set on God's feet, and the trust is total, He will not abandon. The claim sharpens in the third line: over the whole stretch of the journey, no rival power has authority. The closing title, the disc-bearer as crown jewel of the strong, names where that security comes from, the strongest one of all is the one carrying him.
