English Translation

Panduranga stands as your champion; what then is there to fear? Follow Him without delay; do not stop to deliberate. Where can sins possibly remain once genuine repentance has arisen? Says Tuka, this very moment, He will carry you to the far shore.

We ask forgiveness for any inaccuracies in rendering Tukaram ji’s original Marathi.

In Plain Words

Panduranga is your champion. What is there to fear then? Take refuge in Him at once; do not stop to deliberate over anything. Where can sins remain once true repentance has arisen? Tuka says: this very moment, He will set you, standing as you are, on the far shore.

What it means

Tukaram urges immediate, unhesitating surrender. If Panduranga himself stands as your defender, fear has no ground; so take refuge now and stop weighing and calculating, which only delays you. He answers the fear that holds people back, the dread of their own sins: once genuine repentance has truly risen, the sins have nowhere left to stay. And the rescue is not far off or earned over years. This very moment, just as you are, standing where you stand, God carries you to the far shore.
