English Translation

Let the devotees of Hari hold no fear in their chitta. When Narayana is one's friend, what does the world's opinion matter? Offer your chitta, your wealth, and your longing to God, and remain at peace. Says Tuka, let the mind abide in contentment.

In Plain Words

Devotees of Hari, hold no fear in the heart. When Narayana is your friend, what is the world's reckoning worth? Give your heart, your wealth, your longing to God, and stay there. Tuka says: let the mind rest in contentment.

What it means

Tukaram speaks to those who belong to Hari and tells them to carry no fear inside. The reasoning is simple: when Narayana himself is your friend, the opinion and accounting of the world counts for nothing. He asks for a full handover, of mind, of wealth, of every craving, placed with God, and then for the soul simply to remain there. The fruit of that surrender is a mind that abides in settled contentment.
