बहुतां जातीचा केला अंगीकार । बहुत ही फार सवाौत्तमें ॥1॥

English Translation
He has accepted beings of every kind in abundance, and in the best possible way. Yet His store has never been depleted by anyone's spending; it remains inexhaustible exactly where it is. No one can fathom its end or limit, yet He fills even the tiniest atom within. Says Tuka, He becomes whatever is needed. May He fulfill whatever desire is held.

What it means
Tukaram is naming the strange abundance of God: he gives without limit and is never diminished. However many beings he accepts, and however lavishly, his store is never spent; it stays whole and untroubled exactly where it is. Tukaram pairs the unfathomable, an end no one can reach, with the intimate, a presence filling the tiniest atom. The point is trust: a giver like this becomes whatever the devotee needs, so it is safe to hold a desire and ask him to fulfill it.
