English Translation
Whatever commotion has been caused, it was caused by His will. Whether it was crooked or straight, God alone knows. For whose sake has all this creation been brought forth? God's purpose is known only to God. Says Tuka, I am separate from this ego. I have placed the entire burden upon Gopala and remain at rest.

Whatever fuss has been made, it was made as He had it made. Crooked or straight, God knows. For whose sake all this was created, God knows the reason. Tuka says: I stand apart from this pride. I have laid the whole load on Gopala and I rest.
What it means
Tukaram hands every worry about outcomes back to God. Whatever commotion his life has stirred up was stirred as God moved it; whether it came out crooked or straight is for God alone to judge. He widens the question to the whole of creation, asking for whose sake it was made, and answers that only God knows the purpose. The point is release from the burden of being the doer. By stepping out of the pride that claims authorship, Tuka sets the entire load on Gopala's shoulders and lets himself rest.
