English Translation
Sit in quietude and purify the mind; the joy of that state is without end. Gopal will come and take His seat within your chitta; this is the fruit of sitting still. Chant Rama, Krishna, Hari, Mukunda, Murari again and again. Says Tuka, I will grant you this divine gift, if only your devotion becomes single-pointed.

In Plain Words
Sit quietly and make the mind clean. The joy of that has no end, no far shore. Gopal will come and take his seat within you; this is the fruit of sitting still. Chant Rama, Krishna, Hari, Mukunda, Murari again and again. Tuka says: I will give you this divine gift, if only your devotion becomes single-pointed.
What it means
Tukaram offers a quiet, direct method against the noise of striving. Sit still, clear the mind, and a boundless joy opens; the fruit of that stillness is that Gopal himself comes and settles within the heart. The work is simply the Name repeated, Rama, Krishna, Hari, Mukunda, Murari, over and over. He stakes his own promise on it, but with one condition that does all the lifting: the devotion has to become single-pointed, gathered into one.
The Power of the Name
The supremacy of nama-smarana: God's name as the highest practice.
