॥ श्री ॥ श्री जानकीवल्लभो विजयते श्री प्रमोदवनविहारिणौविहारिण्यौ विजयतेतराम् अथ बोधशास्त्रे रसमालिका प्रारम्भः श्लोक भाले हरेः पदमथस्तुलसी च कण्ठे बाहू धनुस्सर रघूत्तमनामयुक्ताः । विज्ञान-भक्तिमणिभूषण-भूषिताङ्गा- स्तेभ्योऽष्टभ्यो रामवरणः सततं नमामि ॥१॥ श्री सद्गुरोर्वचन-मोह निरोध ताण्डो- श्रितं ममालि जलजातक संपुटाण्डोः । ज्ञानस्य भोरक्षरमक्षर शब्द त्यक्त्वा दृश्यं स्वरूप सरसंग नमो नमस्ते ॥२॥ नत्वा श्रीजानकीरामौ रासकुञ्जविहारिणौ । कुर्वे श्रीरामचरणो ग्रन्थेऽस्यां रसमालिकाम् ॥३॥ श्रीरामायणवेदशास्त्रगदितं तत्त्वं परं नाटके यत्तन्त्रेष्वतिसंहितासु मुनिभिः सारं पुराणेष्वपि । श्रीरामस्य रसो विरञ्चि हनुमद् व्यासादिभिः शम्भुना नाना गुंफति भक्त रामचरणस्तां मालिकां तन्मयीम् ॥४॥
Fresh English translation
Glory to Jānakī's beloved; glory to the divine pair who sport in Pramodavana. Thus begins the Rasamālikā in the Bodha-śāstra. (1) I perpetually bow to the eight servants of Rāma, marked with Hari's sign upon the brow, tulasī at the throat, bow and arrow upon the arms, and limbs adorned with the jewels of knowledge and devotion. (2) Again and again I bow to the visible, rasa-filled form disclosed through the true guru's word, which checks delusion and opens knowledge beyond mutable and immutable sound. (3) Having bowed to Jānakī and Rāma, who sport in the rāsa grove, I, Rāmacaraṇa, compose this Garland of Rasa. (4) Rāmacaraṇa gathers this garland wholly made of Rāma's rasa from the highest truth taught in the Rāmāyaṇa, Veda, śāstra, drama, tantras, saṃhitās, sages, and Purāṇas, and from Brahmā, Hanumān, Vyāsa, Śambhu, and others.
