Garuda's bewilderment gathers into one blazing contradiction. Mortals escape the bondage of becoming by repeating Rama's Name. That very Rama has appeared upon the battlefield enclosed by a demon's serpent-noose.
The liberator looks bound. The refuge seems to require rescue. What Garuda knows through sacred teaching and what he has witnessed through his own eyes refuse to fit within the same thought.
The Doha does not resolve the paradox too soon. It lets devotion pass through bewilderment rather than covering uncertainty with pious language. Divine lila can place the limitless within a gesture of limitation without diminishing the limitless. Yet Garuda must not merely repeat this as doctrine. He must travel until understanding becomes lived recognition. The serpent bonds have already fallen from Rama, while the bond of literal sight remains around the one who freed him.
Rama's body leaves the serpent coils, but Garuda must still be released from the certainty that the Infinite cannot play at being bound.

By chanting whose Name, mortals are freed from the bonds of worldly existence, that very Rama was bound by the demon's serpent-noose.
